How to attach the disc drive to PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro consoles
Note: Not compatible with original PS5 Digital Edition Consoles
Attach the disc drive
Place your console on a soft cloth spread over a flat surface before attaching your disc drive.
Remove the O cover.
For safety warnings or details about removing or attaching covers, see “Remove and attach covers”.
Align the disc drive’s clips with the 2 holes (marked with ), and then firmly push in until you hear a “click”.
- Attach the O cover.
Make sure to attach the cover for consoles with the disc drive installed.
- Attach the feet, connect the power cord and cables, and then turn on the console.

Remove the disc drive

Use your finger to lift up the concave part of the disc drive and remove it.
- Attach the O cover.
Make sure to attach the cover for consoles with the disc drive installed.
- Attach the feet, connect the power cord and cables, and then turn on the console.
